Declan is a wounded hero, not physically but it's as if he were. He's hurt in more ways than one. It all goes back to his mom's death, and a tragedy he blames himself for. As if that weren't enough, he's pissed off at his dad too, truth be told, he's pissed off at everyone that crosses his path, at life really. He's just not a happy guy... not until Angel stumbles upon him.

Angel is the sweetest girl anyone has ever met. Her BFF, if one could call it that, is a Demon-- ha, imagine that! No one knows where she comes from, but people wish they never find out. She's wounded in many more ways than one, and then some. Her wounds are not limited to physical wounds, but internal wounds as well. She's from this world, but is as if she's never even been part of it. No one knows where she comes from. It's like she magically appears out of nowhere, and that is where Declan determines to find out who she is, and ensure someone pays for what's been done to her.

Although the book falls within the erotica category, there is more to it than that. Oh don't take me wrong, there is lots of h.o.t, very good sex in it. Angel LOVES sex, and Declan, well he can't deny her. He tries, but what's a guy to do when he's got an Angel begging for it? Uh? Right, my thoughts exactly.

The romantic element, plus the mystery of Angel's dark past (as in pitch black), and whether her BFF is real (I thought was very interesting...) makes Fallen Angel an entertaining and thought provoking read.
